Two and a half months of work - check
A two week extension of work - check
New kitchen paid for - check
Over three months of working has ended and I am in shock. I sit here looking around the apartment at all the things to do that are not work related and I can't believe I now have the time to do it all. When I started working, Vinny was almost 7 months old and tomorrow he turns 10 months. In these three months he has learned to stand, took his first assisted steps and started to become very vocal. I will give you more detailed entries about these stages later.

I must say that halfway through this thing I really started to feel guilty. The work was piling up, I wasn't getting enough sleep, I didn't have enough time for Vin, I didn't have enough time for Andi, I didn't have enough time for myself. Then the day it was all supposed to end, an offer for a two week extension came up...and of course I took it.

But it is over now, and I can spend all my time on the boy and on other things I enjoy...and our new kitchen is paid for, so I hope in the end it was worth it all. Vin also got to meet a couple of great girls he had as babysitters. A sweet Slovenian girl and a very nice Austrian girl. But now he is mine again...all mine!

Three months. Sheesh, it felt like a year or more.
