Our Cinco de Mayo celebration - a day late

Friday was yet another doctor's visit, one last vaccination and check-up for his first year. We have a nice long break now and can wait until his first birthday before we go for any more poking and prodding. He handled it well again, just a little whimper once the needle went in, but I sang and distracted him and he was soon giggling. He has only gained a bit in length but he gained 3 cm in his head circumference. He's just an orange on a toothpick.

We went out for Mexican food last night for a gringo celebration of Mexican heritage. Woo hoo. We have a really great Mexican restaurant just 2 blocks from our apartment, so it was very easy to just throw the Vinster in his throne and head out for some nachos con queso, enchiladas rojas, enchiladas verdes and cervesas.

Vin had a good time too. He had some banana right out of the peel and flirted with the other customers, spending some time being passed around a neighboring table. It was a good night.
